YouTube Adds HDR Video Support, Here Is The List Of Devices
YouTube has begun adding High Dynamic Range (HDR) feature to selected Android mobiles.
This feature, which seemed last year in HDR television sets, has now come to Android mobile phones. This latest update has not been seen in iOS yet.
HDR feature support for YouTube videos isn’t the newest update; the company launched this HDR feature in November 2016 for Smart TVs.
Meanwhile, a YouTube spokesperson, who wrote to Digital Trends in an e-mail said,
“We’ll continue working with partners in mobile industry to bring HDR playback to more devices.”
List Of YouTube HDR Supported Devices
Android phones for which this HDR update has been made are:
- Galaxy Note 8
- Galaxy S8
- Galaxy S8+
- Google Pixel
- LG V30
- Xperia XZ Premium
If you download the latest version of the YouTube app, you can choose different HDR-enabled options on the screen where you can seem to the change of video resolution options.
