As reported by The Information, Facebook's NPE team has simply released a meme-making app called "Whale" but this meme-making app is only available in the Canadian App Store. Currently, the app allows users to enhance their photos with text and stickers in order to create memes that can also be shared with their photos to social media or texted to friends. You can also upload your own photos or choose from the company's stock library before adding a hopefully-viral combination of text, emojis, and filters. Whale also comes with various grid layouts and, if you're feeling really creative, a freeform drawing tool.

How to use the Facebook meme-making "Whale" app?

To use the Facebook meme-making Whale app, you can take/select a new photo using your phone’s library, select a picture from the Photos app or browse the app’s library of stock photos. You can then start making your own meme with text, images, emojis, filters, and something that the app description calls popular effects. You will be able to choose from blank, 2-grid, 3-grid, and 4-grid canvas layouts.
