Google's Android 'Phone' app prepares to add support for the call recording feature in Android.
The latest version of the Google Phone app 43.0.289191107, has been spotted testing the call recording feature on Android One handsets, especially Pixel 4 smartphones.
Mishaal Rahman, from XDA, spotted source code in the app that suggests an overhaul of the app is coming, recording phone calls were previously possible earlier to Android Pie, and there hasn’t been an official call recording API since Android Marshmallow.
Still, It’s not explicit if this is a feature that will ever roll out widely. XDA notes Xiaomi recently announced a call recording feature, and it’s possible this code is related to that.

"bring back call recording APIs to future versions of Android, which would lead to more reliable third party solutions".Last year, Google in I/O said that it had
“Skipped doing so in Android Q because it hadn’t quite puzzled out how to implement the feature securely”.By the time Android 11 comes around, this might seems that Google is ready with this feature by this year’s Google I/O 2020.
