As reported by Google in a blog post today,
The website, google.com/covid19, is primarily "focused on education, prevention, and local resources. People can find state-based information, safety and prevention tips, search trends related to COVID-19, and further resources for individuals, educators, and businesses,"Google Search adds more information on Coronavirus (COVID-19) which includes Symptoms, Preventions, Statistics and more contains information on the coronavirus disease using separate tabs. Upon searching for keywords related to Coronavirus, the user will be shown an overview of Help and information, Safety tips, Affected area, & Symptoms. where they can see all the top stories related to the deadly virus.
The second tab is labeled as Symptoms where it shows all the Coronavirus symptoms one should look for if they think they might have turned positive.
Meanwhile, at present, the site presently assists only to the US-based visitors, but content for more countries and in more languages are slated to be added soon.
Google‘s Coronavirus (COVID-19) site which includes information about the disease, links to health advisory material from the World Health Organization (WHO) and to public health departments for each US state, safety tips, data on the spread of coronavirus around the world, ideas for living well and working at home, and a donation drive to support the UN Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization.
Google added in a blog post,
"As coronavirus becomes a challenge in more communities and as authorities around the world develop new guidance and tools to address the pandemic, we’ll continue to find more opportunities to connect people with key information to keep themselves, their families, and their communities safe."Google will also add a Statistics tab soon where users can keep track of the number of cases reported worldwide and country wise.
Meanwhile, recently the tech giant, Microsoft also launches a Coronavirus Tracker Live Dashboard on Bing.
