Mircosoft India on Thursday announced that its 'Microsoft Translator' will now offer its real-time translation in five additional languages.
The newly added languages include -- "Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Punjabi". This takes the total number of Indian languages supported to 10, including "Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu".

Microsoft India’s General Manager, Sundar Srinivasan in a statement;
"We have supported Indian languages in computing for over two decades, and more recently have made significant strides on machine translation across languages,""With this release, we are bringing in cutting edge machine learning tech to democratize access to information for everyone in India,"
Microsoft Translator is an app that will help break down the language barrier. Just speak into your Android device in your native language and a translation will appear instantly (which can also be read out loud).

Microsoft now supports 70 languages

Overall, Microsoft now supports 70 languages using the Microsoft Translator API and Deep Neural Networks-enhanced, real-time translation. This translation support is now available across a bunch of Microsoft products, including Office products, Bing, and Azure Cognitive Services. The company will also soon roll out support for the new languages to Microsoft Edgeas well as the Microsoft Translator App for Android, IOS and Windows.
The app can recognize and translate languages from text, speech and even photos.
Microsoft is also rolling out support for these languages in the Microsoft Office 365 and the Swiftkey keyboard. Translating is as easy as pressing the microphone button and speaking into your Android. The voice recognition technology processes your words in seconds and displays the translation on the screen. You'll be able to convert them into a card, which you can use to teach the person with whom you want to communicate. You can also save favorites in order to access them in the future, You'll find the input language in the bottom left-hand corner and the output language in the top right corner.
Microsoft Translator is an excellent translation tool that is ideal for traveling or communicating with people who speak different languages.
According to the company, Businesses can easily integrate the Microsoft Translator text translation API into their application websites, tools, or any solution requiring multi-language support, including e-content translation, e-commerce product catalogs, product documentation, and internal communication among others.
