Auto Revoke Permissions

Tech Giant, Google has just announced the Android 11 Developer Preview 3. with plenty of changes, one of the quite interesting features is that Google has added a new toggle for app permissions named “Auto revoke permissions”. As the name suggests, the feature will automatically remove permissions if an app is “not used for a few months” and it is disabled by default.
The feature needs to be enabled manually for apps that you have installed on your Android device and there's no global toggle for it. Seemingly, the feature does not revoke all permissions from an app when it is not used in months. It is also unclear as to how long it takes for the feature to revoke permissions from an unused app.

This "Auto Revoke Permission", the feature that was first spotted by Android Police via XDA Editor-in-chief Mishaal Rahman,  Right now, auto revoke permissions feature is attached to the settings of each application installed on the device. There is no global switch to toggle it on, and it is off by default where the feature resides in the App Permissions section that can be accessed from Settings > Apps and notifications > App > App Permissions.

To use it, open the permissions of the application on the device and toggle the "auto revoke permissions" option.
Android will auto remove permissions for this app "if the app isn't used for a few months". It seems that only some permissions, but not all, are removed from the app if the app has not been used for the time period required to activate the revoking of permissions.

Android 11 Developer Preview 3 Updates

Tech Giant, Google has introduced plenty of changes and improvements with Android 11 Developer Preview 3. Apart from the new Auto Revoke permission, the company has also introduced the ability to dismiss persistent notifications, a revamped Recent Apps menu, and many more.
The third Developer Preview of Android 11 is the last developer-oriented release from Google and plans to release beta releases of Android 11 before the final version of the new operating system version is released later this year.
